Baku, Azerbaijan - Indigenous Climate Action (ICA), an Indigenous-led climate justice organization from Turtle Island (Canada), will be hosting  a panel at the Indigenous Peoples’ pavilion to discuss ‘Land Back’ as real solution to the climate crisis.

To address climate change and climate justice, it is essential that policies and solutions target the persistent drivers and underlying causes of the crisis. This panel will feature an overview of the forthcoming report “Land Back is Climate Policy”, which dives into youth leadership, decolonized climate policy, and Indigenous knowledge as real solutions to the climate crisis. 

Through these discussions, we will nurture a deeper understanding of how “Land Back” can fundamentally reshape climate policy. The panel will include voices from Canada and Australia including:
