Launch of The Woven Project - A global Indigenous Climate Justice Project

Time: November 17, 2025
Location: Indigenous Peoples Pavilion, Blue Zone, UNFCCC COP30

The session will launch the Woven Project and initial findings of our research on Mapping Indigenous People in the Global Movement. Woven is a climate justice project that utilizes a bottom up climate justice and Indigenous rights based approach to building resilient climate solutions that are driven and guided by Indigenous peoples. The project will explore and deepen strategies to strengthen Indigenous rights advocacy at the regional, national and international levels while simultaneously contributing to global climate solutions for overall planetary health, climate change mitigation and a just transition. This rights based approach and framework will focus on advancing and advocating for the implementation of the rights of Indigenous Peoples outlined in the United Nations Declaration On the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), with an emphasis on Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC; Article 19 UNDRIP) and Indigenous Land Tenure.
